after having my driver’s license for three and a half years, i have finally decided to take the advanced road test and have a full class 5, non-probationary, 15 demerit piece of identification.

or rather, i only have one demerit left on this current class 5-GDL license out of the possible 8. which means when the time comes to pay off my most recent ticket, i would face a suspension.

so, today i booked my long-overdue advanced road test (i should have taken it in august of 2010 after having my license for two years). did you know that it costs $140? and when I pass the test, it will cost me another $85 to get a new license?

considering that the last time i took a driving test i was a fresh-out-of-braces virgin in the summer of 2008, my driving skills are a little rusty. another $100 down the drain and tomorrow i get to drive around with an instructor and listen to him yell at me every time i speed up or forget to signal.

my test is on january 21st. do you think i will get bonus points for blasting and rapping to nicki minaj as i cruise through playground zones at 80 km/h? fingers crossed.
